Pollonia
Pollonia or Apollonia is a picturesque fishing village of 300 inhabitants, built around a beautiful creek at the northeastern tip of the island.
Pollonia is the second port of Milos after Adamas, while they probably took their name from the temple of Apollo that existed at the Lighthouse of Pelekoudas (on the left of the settlement). They are almost 10 kilometers from Adamas and 14 from Plaka.
This settlement has a beach with rich sand, many rooms for rent and hotels, as well as several taverns and restaurants that extend to the right end of the settlement, the church of Agia Paraskevi. On the pier in front of the church you can find the fishing boats of the locals who come every morning loaded with fish, octopuses and lobsters.
On the left side of Pollonia is the church of Agios Nikolas and Pelekouda, a picturesque peninsula worth visiting, since according to tradition the couple sitting on the small rock in the shape of a chair that is there, stays together forever.
