Adamantas
This modern coastal village is located in the bay of the island, one of the largest and safest natural bays in the Mediterranean, and is the largest tourist center of Milos.

Built in the north of the gulf, Adamas or “Alamanto”, as it was called before, has been inhabited since 1824. It was built by Cretan refugees from Sfakia, who came to Milos after their failed and bloody revolution against the Turks, while today it has about 1100 inhabitants.
