The Museum opened in September 2008 and is housed above the port of Adamas, in the building of the old Community of the island.
It was created by the efforts of Dr. Petros Armenis to collect a number of exhibits related to maritime activity in Milos. The exhibits start from the prehistoric era, with obsidian tools, proceed to the naval battle of Salamis and end in recent years.
In the Maritime Museum you have the opportunity to see also rare maps, by the hands of special cartographers, and the famous wooden boat “Eirini”.
Get to know the history of the island, relax on the beaches, escape to exotic coves, indulge in Cycladic gastronomy and enjoy the hospitality of the inhabitants.
